Administrative/Biographical History: The Webster Institute, as described by then Webster President Leigh Gerdine, was to be a revitalized version of WIMSA (Webster Institute for Mathematics, Science, and the Arts). The Institute was meant to be a center for educational research and development. Discussion also suggested that the Institute could administer such existing programs as the Webster College School, the M.A.T. program, and the Upward Bound program.
Scope/Content: Includes various correspondence and proposals for establishing the Institute, primarily from the years 1970 to 1971.
