A good source for career information as well.

NOAH: New York Online Access to Health

This site is produced by a joint effort of the City University of New York, the New York Public Library, the New York Academy of Medicine, and the Metropolitan New York Library Council. It provides links to web-based resources with information about health topics from asthma to pregnancy to nutrition to human anatomy. Also included are links to New York area health providers; however, much of the information applies to a national audience. Information is provided in English and Spanish.

A Modern Herbal

An online version of A Modern Herbal written by Maud Grieve in 1931. Includes an index of over 800 plants and herbs plus descriptions of 44 poisonous plants. Indexed entries contain: scientific name and natural habitat, physical description, constituents (i.e. forms the medicinal part can take such as oil, fiber, or crystals), medicinal actions/use, and dosage information.

Pruduced by the National Institutes of Health, this site focuses on research in alternative and complementary medicine and disseminiation of findings. Use the CAM Citation Index to find citations for research literature related to alternative and complementary medicine.
