Online Literary Criticism Collection

- Part of the Internet Public Library, this site links to over 1,500 selected websites with critical and biographical information about authors and their works. The collection covers selected US and British literary works from pre-1500 to the present and is browsable by author, title, or literary period. Some of the sites require special access to Project Muse (an Eden-Webster Library subscription), or to the Northern Lights Special Collection where a cost is involved to access the item.

- American Verse Project

- This site is an ongoing project of the Humanities Text Initiative and University of Michigan to assemble an electronic archive of volumes of American poetry. The archive consists mostly of 19th century poetry with a few 18th century and early 20th century texts. Major poets such as Poe, Dickinson, Sandburg, & Longfellow are covered as well as a number of African American and women poets.
