How do I...?

Find Reserve Materials

If an instructor has placed a print copy of an article or book chapter on reserve at the Emerson library, it may be obtained at the circulation desk.

Many instructors at Webster University place articles and book chapters that are required reading for their classes on reserve electronically. To retrieve electronic reserve materials:

  1. From Passports, the library's homepage, click on eReserves.
  2. Next click on "Electronic Reserves & Reserves Pages." You will be able to search for your materials by either course number, department, or instructor.
  3. You will be asked to enter a password in order to view the material. Passwords should be supplied by the instructor.

Note that instructors may also post articles on Connections or WebCT; these are not part of the eReserves system.

An instructional video, Electronic Reserves for Students and Faculty, provides additional information. A complete list of the videos in our Passports Skills Video Series, as well as system requirements for playing these presentations, is also available.
