Facility
The Eden-Webster Library System includes the Emerson Library of Webster University and the Luhr Library of Eden Theological Seminary. Library services are described for graduates of Webster University below.
Borrowing
Webster University alumni are eligible to receive a free library card. This alumni library card lets the user check out up to 40 books belonging to the Eden-Webster Library System which includes Emerson Library of Webster University and Luhr Library of Eden Theological Seminary. Our collections are listed in our library catalog. There is no charge for this lifetime benefit. Webster alumni are welcome to use audiovisual items in Emerson Library but may not check them out due to high demand. Any Webster Alumnus who wishes to get this free library card needs to bring a current photo I.D. to the first floor circulation desk in Emerson Library during our normal hours of operation. Research Assistance at Emerson Library
Research assistance is available at Emerson Library to help alumni locate the information they need and also to show them how to use electronic resources. For more information, contact the Emerson Library Reference Department at (314) 968-6950 (800-985-4279).
Electronic Resources
Alumni have access to the public- access computers in the library. Reference staff can log alumni into the library’s electronic resources such as online periodical databases and electronic reference books when visiting on campus at either library. Due to contractual agreements, off-campus access to online databases is not available unless you are a member of the Research Fellows Program (Webster only).
Libraries' Facilities
Alumni are welcome to walk in and enjoy many of the facilities at either library. Please note that current Webster/Eden students, faculty, and staff have priority in the use of available computers, study and listening/viewing rooms. For more information, see Webster's Facility Information page
